In 1998, the Reform Party of Ohio had a meeting overseen by John Mitchel, the Reform Party's candidate for governor. A single attendee asked for a vote to get Trafficant the Reform Party endorsement, but when he saw nobody else in the auditorium raised their hands, he didn't even raise his own hand. So nobody voted to endorse Trafficant.

Please do not be eager to free associate that Trafficant is deserving of Perot's voter support simply because he is now independent.
