RPUSA/SPOs 2012

Hi everyone,

I believe that some ideas need to be shared about launching an agressive campaign for 2012. Of course this campaign/idea doesn't need to be started until fall '11, but I believe some people in the RPUSA need to discuss this.

First, the Reform Party needs to create an online community list (blogs, websites, etc) for media purposes & state media websites/print/radio(this is extremely easy because it would just be a copy and paste from Politics1.com pretty much without far to the "right" or "left" media mediums). This is what I call a "media list". Now, we would have each media in each individual state. Of course, states with already established SPOs(currently states like Florida, Minnesota, etc) could just send over something to National, or states with nothing active do not need anything at all at this moment.

Second, The RPUSA needs to establish a slogan, website, and a team for 2012. The team, in bare min. should consist of 3-5 people who can travel, and are willing to campaign, set up shop, train, and petition in individual states together. The website would contain a list of candidates per state, area to becoming a candidate, candidate resources, donation area, candidate spotlight, message board, contact area, and pretty much a news section. This "2012 idea" would need social networking and a youtube channel.... together none of this should cost over a few hundred dollars.

Third, the SPOs and RPUSA come together to create a list of goals to be obtained. Just an example, would be 100 candidates at the state level and above. Also, 15 ballot lines for our presidential candidate. Now, 100 seems difficult, but with the active SPOs and reorganizing ones that would mean around 20-25 states with each running an average of 4-5.

Fourth, fundraising begins. Of course, this should begin at the state level. Then possible a national money bomb and things of that nature. Create goals and they will be reached.

Fifth, I would send out the team to help states get their petition requirements filled. Now some states will not need this help, but some would need it of course. The team would consist of college age kids who are willing to travel.

Sixth, more fundraising... of course.

Lastly, split up the team to races we believe that would be won/receive very high vote total.

Of course, this is all a little vague, but this is the general idea broken down.

1) Create a slogan, website, social networking for '12.
2) Create different types of fundraising(money bomb, interesting videos, through the state level, merchandise, etc)
3) Create a team to go out and reach the SPOs for help.

Please comment on what you believe. Each even year, of course, the goal of candidates will improve.

Aggressive, not unreasonable. I like it.
